Entrepreneur makes business a family affair

A highland entrepreneur has decided to keep business in the family by appointing his younger brother as a fellow director.

Fraser McInnes will join his older brother and founder of the home grown plumbing, heating and renewable energy firm McInnes Renewables, and become one of four directors this month.

Fraser’s new role comes after a period of significant growth for the firm over the past 12 months.

Lachlan McInnes, who started the business in 2011, has ambitious expansion plans for the next five years, currently embarking on a recruitment drive for qualified gas engineers and plumbers to join the firm.

Lachlan said: “Fraser and I share the same principles about hard work, integrity and honesty, so I am confident that having Fraser as a director in the business will strengthen it and will help us achieve our goal of taking our business to the next level.

“Our five year plan is ambitious, and changes to government policies on renewable energy is seeing our business develop in unchartered territory, however our commitment to being at the forefront of cutting edge renewable technology will ensure our future success.”

Fraser added: “I’m delighted to come on board with my brother Lachlan as a director.

“Lachlan has built up a successful company, and I hope together we can build and expand on that success. “
