The expansion plans come after a period of rapid expansion and growth in Scotland, which saw the company provide around 71,000 clients with mortgages to the value of £999m in the last financial year.
The company, which has branched out further North from its Edinburgh base in recent years, is using Manchester as the first target of its future growth plan; followed by other Northern cities should the move be successful.
Director Ian McGrail is confident the current year will see that figure exceed £1 billion for the first time.
“We already have a presence through a franchise operation in Newcastle which has proved highly successful and has seen the operator there double its mortgage market penetration in just four years,” he said.
“We also secure business down south through a network of call centres.
“But this will be our first branch presence and we are keen to retain full control of the business as we expand.”
