Spiers Gumley expands into Edinburgh

Property management company, Speirs Gumley, has announced it is expanding operations by opening an office in Edinburgh at the end of May.

The company, which has operated for more than 180 years, manages nearly 27,000 commercial and residential units across Glasgow, Edinburgh, Ayrshire and Lanarkshire.

Speirs Gumley has built up a strong reputation for successfully managing historic and iconic buildings including The Beresford on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street, the listed Wellpark Enterprise Centre, and The Merchant Building commercial Offices in Glasgow’s George Square.

With a surge in demand for its services, Speirs Gumley has experienced a period of growth – increasing its profit by over 30% in the last two years.

This growth has allowed the company to re-invest profit in I.T, and increase its workforce from 64 to 70.

The company is now establishing its presence in the capital, with its new Edinburgh office, which will be based in Q Court in Quality Street, Davidson’s Mains.

Lorraine MacDonald, senior partner at Speirs Gumley said: “We’re delighted to be in a position to open an office in Edinburgh and are really excited about the potential for all of our services in the capital.

“Our Glasgow office is busier than ever, and with confidence returning to the property sector, we really believe that this is the right time for the company to expand.

“Having a physical presence in Edinburgh will allow us to build significantly on our offering in the east.”

The new office will also be home to a training hub for all Speirs Gumley employees, delivering induction programmes and company-wide training.
