The new product selection includes milk, cheese and butter from locally sourced producers and is exclusive to the retailer across its 91 Scottish stores.
Following the range’s success, the discount supermarket is set to invest further in the Scottish economy with more locally sourced products brought to its shelves by its newly former Scottish buying team.
The team has already increased the Scottish range by over 33% in the last six months, and the firm expect to grow this by a further 50% by the end of the year.
Ross Millar, Lidl’s Managing Director in Scotland, said: “We’re focused on ensuring our customers receive the freshest, highest-quality products possible at the best price.
“We look forward to adding more Scottish produce to the range, further investing in the Scottish economy and building even stronger relationships with our suppliers, including Graham’s the Family Dairy with whom we have worked with for 15 years now”
