The Glasgow-based firm now supplies 20% of its output to Aldi Scotland. Aldomak, which has been family run since the 1970s, has been supplying Aldi from its Giffnock producton pant for over five years. It is now selling under the Specially Selected label, Aldi's premium range, and has also introduced a wedge-shaped gift box of fudge and tablet cubes as well as packages of shards of butter toffee. Dario Riccomini, managing director of the Aldomak, said: "We are delighted to be strengthening ties with Aldi, which shares our ethos of high quality, responsibly-sourced products at competitive prices. "We began our relationship with Aldi, which has regional buying offices to reflect local tastes and products, when the retailer wanted to launch a Scottish range of confectionary products to go on the till in its Scottish outlets. "Confectionary merchandising has changed in recent times and now Aldi is positioning us on mainstream shelf space and including us in its highly regarded Specially Selected range, with excellent results."
