Scottish Business Awards Issues final call for entries

The Scottish Business Awards, supported by the Royal Bank of Scotland, has issued their final call for entries with their application deadline approaching on September 30th.

The remodelled awards contain 15 categories this year including the new "Scale-up of the Year" and "Investor in Scotland" aimed at recognising Scotland’s fastest growing companies and largest foreign direct investors respectively.

  • PwC People Innovation Award
  • Pinsent Masons Scale-up of the Year
  • Fair Work Employer of the Year
  • Johnson & Johnson Corporate Social Responsibility Award
  • Virgin Media #VOOM SME of the Year
  • Postcode Lottery Green Business of the Year
  • SEPA ‘One Planet’ Award
  • Asda Community Social Enterprise of the Year
  • BQ Female Business Leader
  • Scottish Large Company of the Year
  • Family Business of the Year
  • Investor in Scotland Award


Last year’s ceremony went down in history with more than 2,000 guests attending the dinner, making it the largest ever business award ceremony in the UK and the biggest meal ever served in Scotland, raising £500,000 for various good causes including Scottish Edge in the process.

Guests at the dinner included: First Minister Nicola Sturgeon; Donald Wilson, Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh; and Matthew Barzun, the United States’ Ambassador to the UK.

Welsh comedian Rob Brydon hosted the awards ceremony, with celebrities including cyclist Sir Chris Hoy and tennis coach Judy Murray also taking to the stage to speak to the audience and present awards.
