Employment law, HR and health & safety specialists, Law At Work (LAW), posted a strong set of financial results including a 9% increase in group turnover in the year to 31st May 2017.
LAW’s accounts for the year to 31 May 2017 show revenues rose to £2.54m, a 9% year-on-year increase. The rise has helped the firm, which acquired Square Circle HR last year, to post EBITDA profits of £370,000.
Magnus Swanson, chairman of Law At Work, said: “We are very pleased that 2017/18 has got off to a flying start with the full impact of the combined businesses being realised. We have also noticed greater confidence amongst our clients in committing to new contracts and the amount of tribunal activity has also sharply grown. As a result, we anticipate double digit growth in our top line in 2017/18.”
The firm has more than 380 retained clients across a UK-wide client base, which range in size from 5 to more than 12,000 staff.
LAW currently has 34 employees with plans in place for further recruitment to service growing work levels.
In an additional business update, the Company confirmed that chief executive Jane Wright left the company in August 2017 after leading seven years of substantial growth.
Magnus adds: “We wish Jane all the best in her future endeavours - and thank her for her inspirational leadership in a period which encompassed very substantial growth.”
