Six respected figures from Scottish business and academia are set to speak at the Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards 2018.
Keynote speakers at the event will be:
Steve Stewart - co-founder and managing director, Stewart Brewing Steve opened Stewart Brewing with his wife, Jo, in 2004 with an aim of having fun while brewing fantastic beer. Over the years, they have successfully grown into a multi-award winning business in Edinburgh, and have big plans for future development.
Professor Eleanor Shaw - Vice Dean, Strathclyde Business School and head, Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, University of Strathclyde. Eleanor is an experienced entrepreneurship researcher and educator with more than 25 years of working with SMEs across all stages of their journey from start-up through to growth and succession.
Paul Wheelhouse MSP - Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy Paul is a professional economist and, since 1992, has specialised in higher and further education markets, policy evaluation and economic appraisal and impact assessment of capital projects.
Paula Ritchie - Regional head of Business Development, Royal Bank of Scotland Paula heads up business development for The Royal Bank of Scotland’s Business Bank. She supports a team of Business Growth Enablers that provide expertise, run events and connect businesses with the right partners to help them achieve their ambitions.
Dr Siobhan Jordan - Director, Interface Siobhán has a wealth of experience in both business and academia and is a member of Scottish Funding Council’s Research and Knowledge Exchange group, Scotland Can Do Business Innovation Forum, Scotland Food and Drink Innovation steering group, Colleges Innovation Working Group, Chemical Sciences Scotland Leadership Group and the Board of Colleges Development Network.
Mike Cantlay OBE - Scottish Funding Council chair Mike Cantlay was previously Chair of Forth Valley College. Additionally, he has served as Chair of VisitScotland, Chair of Scottish Enterprise Forth Valley, he was an advisory member of the Board of Scottish Enterprise and Board Member of VisitBritain based in London.
