Scotland House member, Morgan Jones, general manager of Televerde Europe tells BQ about his business and why he recommends Scotland House to others.
What is it your company does, and what makes it special?
We are a business process outsourcer (BPO) who specialises in helping technology companies with their sales and marketing. We focus on demand generation and inside sales.
There are a lot of choices out there. We feel our differentiator is our people. We hire locally (Glasgow) to cover all of Europe. We currently employ agents who are native speakers in 13 different languages. People make Glasgow and the Glasgow people make Televerde.
Why did you join Scotland House and what do you use it for?
A lot of our clients are London-based. This gives us a location that is easy for our clients to get to in an atmosphere that is friendly and inviting. We also used it to host a chapter meeting of the Association of Inside Sales Professionals (AA-ISP).
What did Scotland House do for your business?
They hosted around 50 local technology professionals. We had an hour of presentations and then food and drinks topped off the evening. If I used a rating of 1-10 it would get at least a 15! Harriet and the team went way above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of.
The room was set up perfectly to handle our group, the bar was stocked and the conversation flowed. The location ensured we had a great turnout and the overall feeling from the guest was overwhelmed. Having the balcony open and being able to get fresh air was a big hit too.
Harriet, Anna and the entire team treated us like VIPs the minute we walked in and did not stop until the final bell. We should all be comfortable giving Scotland House the highest recommendation when it comes to hosting events like this.
Why should other Scottish businesses become members?
First and foremost the staff at Scotland House are true professionals who see to your every need. Second, the facility and the technology make a first-rate impression on anyone who visits. Location, location, location, only steps from Blackfriars Station and a short train ride to Gatwick make this the ideal place for a Scotland-based business to interact with their London-based customers.
