While Sir Richard Branson is asking for plans to ban the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles in favour of electric cars to be brought forward to 2025, a London based business entrepreneur is actively working to enable in-field sales staff with electric cars by 2022.
David Alpert is the managing director and co-founder of the iiaa (International Institute for Anti-Ageing), a leading skincare brand and solutions supplier to the Professional Beauty and Aesthetic industry. He is also a passionate environmentalist who is working in support of positive change for the environment, whilst encouraging other businesses to follow suit.
The project to switch to electric cars is well underway with a pilot for staff members operating from the firm’s headquarters in Brent Cross where he has installed EV chargers at his own cost. The next phase of the project has a number of considerations such as the practical logistics of UK travel routes and lack of public charging points.
David explained: “I fully appreciate that this project will come with its problems, costs and challenges, but I am determined to do what I can to explore the benefits of electric cars in the course of our UK business by 2022.
“I am passionate about reducing the impact of my business on the environment and hopeful of inspiring other business leaders to follow suit.”
David has made other significant efforts to make ecologically impactful changes, for example, the Advanced Nutrition programme, his wholly owned premium supplement business uniquely formulated to promote beauty from within.
This brand is on a ‘journey to clean label’ evidenced through eliminating plastic pots in favour of 100% recyclable paper-based packaging, printed with vegetable-based inks, triple testing and manufacture to GMP standards. All ingredients are traceable and Alpert strives to use organic where possible to deliver products that are vegan and vegetarian friendly, free from gluten, yeast, artificial colourings and flavourings. His aim is to deliver products through the Advanced Nutrition Programme brand that are as good for the Environment as they are for skin
