Surrey-based Amari Plastics, which employs some 400 people across the UK, has opened a new branch on the Leeway Industrial Estate.
John Morgan, of AI Plastics, said: “We employ 10 people in Newport. The move has been designed to aid stock expansion with the hope of boosting employment in the future.
“The location is good for us in relation to the motorway networks of the M4 corridor with easy access to the south of England and the Midlands.”
Fiona Weaver, of Newport-based Hutchings and Thomas Chartered Surveyors, said: “Amari Plastics had specific requirements for its product store and distribution regarding specification of the property and the location with access to major transport routes.
“We were happy, once instructed, to be able to satisfy their needs with the 10,665 sq ft (991 sq m) property at Newport’s ever popular Leeway Industrial Estate.”
