Workshops for businesses and students will be part of country’s biggest push for STEM careers
Two of the UK’s biggest science and tech event organisers have joined forces for a conference and Expo, as Wales’ most celebrated innovation showcase 'Digital' heads to Cardiff for the first time.
Nucleus Expo will host the event's start-up zone, working in tandem with the Digital team. On 18th and 19th September, Digital will transform Tramshed Tech and the surrounding area into a hub for more than 2,000 digital innovators, entrepreneurs and investors; a custom space to make connections, do business and talk tech.
Nucleus Expo is a science and technology innovation event, created to showcase technological advances and bring like-minded entrepreneurs together. Now in its third year, the expo is attracting attention for championing top innovators, big name speakers and new technologies. The wide-ranging programme of keynotes, workshops and showcases will bring in students and encourage them to consider STEM careers, as well as supporting STEM initiatives for school children.
Last year’s event Digital 2016, was supported by the Welsh Government – the event’s main sponsor since 2013. As part of a 2017 branding changes the event has been re-branded as, simply, Digital.
Nucleus Founder and CEO, Layla-Jane Stacey, said: “We couldn’t be happier partnering with the new-look Digital. The chance to turn our own Nucleus Wales event into a collaborative project with the country’s biggest science and tech expo was one we jumped at.
“We will ensure we bring the biggest names under one roof to showcase what the future holds in one of the UK’s most buoyant markets.”
