Welsh housebuilder, Llanmoor Homes, has announced its most successful to date, after achieving a record number of sales and its highest ever turnover in 2017/18.
The company confirmed that its annual turnover for the last year hit £36m, up considerably from £31m during the financial year 2016/17.
Tim Grey, sales director at Llanmoor Homes, said: “We are delighted to announce that we have continued to increase our turnover for yet another year. The demand for new homes in Wales is at an all-time high, and we are constantly looking to acquire land for new developments in order assist the Welsh Government in meeting its targets.
“It’s amazing to see how far we have come over the past few years, particularly with the help of the Help to Buy Wales scheme, which enables first time buyers and existing home owners to purchase a new build property up to the value of £300,000 with as little as a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage.
“Many of our customers use this beneficial scheme and it’s played a crucial role in helping many young people make their first steps onto the property ladder.”
Tim continued: “Last year was a real turning point for the company, having been listed in London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report and subsequently winning Wales Business Insider’s ‘Housebuilder of the Year’. These successes were testament to the hard work put in by every staff member and in 2018/19 we will continue to work hard to prove ourselves as a thriving new homes developer within the Welsh housebuilding industry.”
Llanmoor Homes is one of Wales’ only remaining privately-owned housebuilders and has built over 4000 homes since the company was established in 1966. Following recognition in both the 2017 LABC Building Excellence and NHBC Pride in the Job awards, every one of Llanmoor’s Site Managers is an award-winner, a status that further underlines the company’s dedication to building quality family homes in Wales.
