Henry Howard Finance appoints new head of HR and compliance
Hot on the heels of exceptional half-year results, Henry Howard Finance Group (HHF) has appointed a new head of HR and compliance to help support the independent funder’s continued growth.
Melissa Rees, from Bridgend in South Wales, has over 14 years’ experience in HR leadership and compliance oversight roles in the financial services sector and joins the business from Vauxhall Finance plc, where she held the role of UK deputy money laundering reporting officer and senior compliance specialist.
Prior to this, she previously served at board level as an HR director and as group HR and compliance manager in an FCA regulated national IFA network.
Accountancy firm on cloud nine as new recruits bolster the team
A Cwmbran accountancy firm is capitalising on impressive growth by appointing nine new members of staff.
Green & Co, Accountants and Tax Advisors, are welcoming the new additions after consistent increases in client numbers and the development of new areas of practice. Joining the team are Charlie-Louise Preece, Bradie Hern, Deana Davies, Tracy Whittaker, Jessica Price, Michelle Pearce, Rhianna Parry, Tim Beckinsale and Victoria Fowler.
Principality appoints Annelie Grey as its head of financial reporting
Principality Building Society has appointed Annelie Grey as its head of financial reporting.
Annelie’s responsibilities include producing the Society’s mid-year and annual financial statements and reports to the regulators. She joins Principality after spending the past three years as head of accounting policy for Nationwide and before that was an audit director for Deloitte.
New appointment at Cardiff law firm
Clarke Willmott LLP has appointed a new commercial property paralegal to its Cardiff office as it continues to grow on the back of a strong start to 2018.
The office has now become a leading firm for those needing legal expertise across the commercial property, social housing, banking and finance, planning and construction sectors with the level and number of new instructions rising over the last 12 months.
The new member of the team is Carla Sloman and her arrival takes the number of people working in the Cardiff office, which is headed by Vicky Kells, to 15.
Roger Parry & Partners’ announce promotion of four new associates
Roger Parry & Partners’ has announced the promotion of four staff to the position of associate.
The new associates will work alongside the four partners in the business across the West Midlands, Shropshire, and north and mid Wales.
The new associates are: Clare Williams MRICS, Gerallt Davies BA MSc, Peter Daborn MRICS and Rosina Bloor MRICS.
Both Clare and Gerallt currently work in the firm’s Welshpool office. Peter works in the Minsterley office and Rosina in the Oswestry office.

Yvonne Majewska is a senior commercial solicitor who was previously legal and company secretary for the TES Aviation Group.
She has extensive commercial experience, advising on high value and complex commercial transactions both domestically and internationally.
Senior solicitor Ben Coulson and chartered legal executive Nia Evans both join Blake Morgan from Hugh James.
Ben specialises in wills, probate administration, tax and trusts for private clients. Nia handles employment tribunal cases, advising and representing clients in relation to all aspects of employment law.
Banking and finance solicitor, Ewelina Wagiel joins Blake Morgan from LexisNexis Risk Solutions where she specialised in UK data protection law, GDPR and services agreements.
Strong appointments for Acorn Rail to support increasing UK growth
