Ministry of Furniture appoints two strategic roles
South Wales contract furniture company, Ministry of Furniture, has made two strategic appointments to its growing design and product teams.
A well-established manufacturer and re- manufacturer of furniture, the Neath Port Talbot-based firm has recently appointed Freya Dolan to head of design and project management.
Before joining Ministry of Furniture, Dolan worked for almost nine years at high street retailer, John Lewis, in design roles. Most recently, she was a senior designer in the chain’s store planning division, leading on retail designs from pop ups to multi-million pound, new-build projects and was responsible for the business’ design standards and outputs.
Principality Commercial appoints head of operations
Michelle Wade has been appointed as the Head of Operations for commercial lending at Principality Building Society’s Commercial team.
Michelle was the Head of Principality Building Society’s 71 retail and agencies across Wales and the borders for the past three years. This followed almost two decades of experience at RBS, where she was latterly a regional director overseeing business, private and branch banking.
Welsh life sciences company expands team after record funding
Welsh life sciences company Bond Digital Health has created two new job roles after receiving more than a quarter of a million pounds in funding.
The company, based at the Life Sciences Hub in Cardiff, has hired Edryd Sharp as head of product design and Phil Cooley as quality assurance manager.
Earlier this year Bond received a private equity investment of £200,000 to help grow the business and take on new employees. It was also awarded funding of more than £75,000 for various projects.
Station Rd marks next stage of growth with key senior appointment
Strategic communications agency, Station Rd, has marked its next phase of growth with a new senior appointment.
The integrated communications agency has appointed, Mike Palmer, as head of creative to lead on brand strategy, creative and campaign activation across the business as well as overseeing its growing creative team.
Grŵp Cynefin appoints experienced strategic leads as non-executive directors
A housing association for north and mid Wales, which manages approximately 4,800 homes, has appointed two non-executive directors to support its growth and development delivering social housing and community schemes.
Clifton Robinson and Sharon Warnes join the Grŵp Cynefin board of management, which is responsible for the organisation’s strategic direction and governance, after distinguished careers in housing and local government respectively.
Cardiff recruitment company appoint Associate Director
Cardiff-based Vargo Recruitment has appointed Tom Miller as its new associate director.
As associate director, Tom will predominantly focus on executive and C-Suite appointments as well as other leadership and management positions. Tom will also take a leading role in the company’s strategy as it looks to provide clients with a more holistic approach to talent attraction, supporting a wider recruitment strategy built around an established employer brand.
