Worcestershire mum celebrates start-up success

A Worcestershire mum who turned her search for the perfect nursery into her own business has appeared as one of 30 start-ups to exhibit at the Country Living magazines spring fair.

Entrepreneur Sarah Best set up the bespoke arts and interiors company, Mrs Best, six months ago and designs personalised art prints, children’s wall graphics and baby clothing.

A founder of Birmingham-based Soda Design, Sarah decided to use her experience as a graphic designer to set up the business after struggling for her ideal nursery for daughter Tilly.

Sarah said: “I found it a real challenge to find beautiful, co-ordinating pieces for Tilly’s nursery after she was born.

"So after one search too many, I took matters into my own hands and drew upon 15 years of creative experience as a graphic designer.

“It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made as the business has gone from strength to strength.

“To get an invite to exhibit at the Country Living Spring Fair after only a short period of trading was wonderful.

"It was a real milestone for me and I was very grateful to get the opportunity to showcase my products and plans for the future.”
