New fertility clinic to create 50 new jobs

National IVF and fertility clinic CARE Fertility has moved into the Edgbaston Medical Quarter (EMQ) and is set to take on 50 new staff members.

Once fully operational, the new clinic will feature a state-of-the-art laboratory and theatre along with patient facilities.

The new roles available will vary, including clinic, nursing, embryology, administration and support services opportunities.

Chief Executive, Harvey Ainley, explained why it set its sights on Edgbaston Medical Quarter: “The West Midlands is a key part of CARE Fertility’s expansion plans. We already have a large

number of patients who travel from the region to our Nottingham clinic and, as well as building on existing interest, we also wanted to open up access to our enhanced level of service and treatment for an even greater number of people located in and around Birmingham.

“The new clinic is in a prime location.”

Mark Lee, Chief Executive of Calthorpe Estates, added: “It is considered a real coup that a dedicated IVF and fertility treatment clinic of this calibre will be located within the thriving centre of excellence that is Edgbaston Medical Quarter.”

Commercial property consultants Innes England acted on behalf CARE Fertility in the acquisition.
