WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff drives growth with latest project win

Birmingham professional services consultancy, WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, has been appointed to deliver multidisciplinary services to an automotive parts production facility and office block.

The Queens Drive based firm will deliver a range of services for leading global automotive supplier Magna International, including structural engineering, building services engineering, civil engineering, geotechnical, traffic and transport, and landscape architecture for the 225,000 sq ft aluminium casting facility and two-storey office block.

Andy Woodhams, WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff associate director for building structures, said: “This project builds on our experience in the automotive sector, which helped us secure the contract, alongside our ability to demonstrate the value of a single appointment for all engineering and environmental support.

“We look forward to building on this successful project and establishing our relationship with Magna for projects in the UK, Europe and throughout the rest of the world.”

Construction is due to commence in September 2016, with production due to start to February 2018. This is the latest project announcement from WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, following its involvement in the Grand Central development and the Sheffield shopping and leisure complex refurbishment at Meadowhall.
