The 4.7 acre Roch Bank estate in Rochdale is the result of a collaboration between Sigma Capital, house builder Countryside Properties and Rochdale Borough Council.
The scheme forms part of a major funding arrangement with Gatehouse Bank.
The parties have all pulled together to transform the site as part of a regeneration scheme which is transforming a previously derelict industrial mill site into houses 61 new homes overlooking the River Roch.
Sigma is promoting the scheme under the DifRent brand – which promises high quality new family homes exclusively for rent.
SDL Bigwood director Paul Staley said: “The DifRent Roch Bank development is bringing something new to Rochdale and we are delighted to be involved in the scheme as it is not only providing much needed high quality rental homes to the area but creating a community.
“We have already had a great deal of interest in the new homes with a number of residents ready to move in and I believe the remaining homes will hugely popular and will be snapped up quickly.”
To date, 26 properties have currently been reserved with the first tenants moving in during July and the final plots due to be completed and available to let in November 2016.
The new development was officially unveiled by leader of the council, Cllr Richard Farnell and Rochdale Borough Council chief executive Steve Rumbelow. Members of the team from Sigma, Countryside and SDL Bigwood were also in attendance to launch the scheme and take guests on a guided tour of the properties.

“Rochdale is one of the largest market towns on the outskirts of Manchester and it is vital we continue to provide young couples and families with high quality privately rent homes to this growing borough.”
