BarberBarber, which offers a luxury haircutting and bespoke shaving service, is due to open on 26 August.
The store is the brain child of Johnny ‘The Baba’ Shanahan who discovered his love of the trade while working in a local barbers shop in his home town of Limerick.
Johnny worked his way up from floor sweeping to opening his own shop at the age of 23, and now heads up the £3.5m turnover business.
BarberBarber’s latest venue will join its other locations in Manchester, London, Liverpool and Leeds.
All of the barbers are trained in-house, and offer bespoke designs to suit each individual man.
Rather than copy photos of celebrities, they prefer to work with a gentleman’s own style and features to deliver a cut that suits them.
Johnny said: “I remember my Grandad taking me as a young boy to the local barbers, and it’s such a fond, nostalgic part of my childhood that I really wanted to keep that tradition going and give other young gentleman the opportunity to make similar memories.
“Customer service is at the heart of BarberBarber’s offering, from the very first greeting to the professional atmosphere and standard of service we offer.
“I don’t care who you are, every customer of ours is a VIP and will receive the best service, from the person washing your hair to the talented barber who cuts it.
“That’s what the good people of Birmingham can expect from us. We don’t do appointments, we do walk-ups, so if you’re in need of haircut and a bit of R&R, we’re your men.”
