Based at 104-106 Colmore Row, the premises was formerly part of the customer-facing profile of CPBigwood – the company was acquired by SDL Group, parent of Century 21 UK, earlier this year.
Established in the UK in 2005, the Century 21 organisation is one of the world's largest residential estate agencies, headquartered in the US, with over 6,900 offices and 100,000 agents operating in 78 countries.
The new location is now the brand’s flagship office in the West Midlands, working alongside branches in Sutton Coldfield, Bromsgrove and Derby, and across the UK.
Birmingham and Derby are both run direct by SDL Group whilst other locations across the country are ran as franchise operations.
Justyn Horton, senior branch manager in Birmingham, said: “We are thrilled to have launched Century 21 Bigwood into the marketplace.
“The plan is to use the Birmingham city centre office as a template and springboard to launch new franchises in centres across Birmingham, the Black Country and the shires.
“It is the intention to grow a regional presence, building on the 60 or so existing UK offices.”
Century 21 Bigwood will be headed by Mr Horton with support from colleague Tom Storey and an overall team of 11.
Rob Clifford, chief executive of Century 21 UK and group commercial director at SDL Group, said: “We look to develop highly entrepreneurial offices headed by hungry franchisees determined to succeed.
“They will have the advantages of being part of a major internationally-established brand, international links providing a range of property opportunities for clients, and behind it all the major investment and commitment of SDL Group with back-office support from a dedicated team.”
