Warwickshire brewer sees sales boost

Warwickshire-based Purity Brewing Company has announced a boost in sales of its craft beers by 40% in the last 12 months, strengthening its plans to treble turnover in the next three years.

The brewer, which began business in 2005, now employs a team of 40 and maintains a sustainable working environment.

To further its growth plans the firm has appointed two new members to its board of directors, sales and marketing director Andrew Cross and operations director Jamie Hirst.

Andrew joins Purity from C&C Group, where he has led the recent resurgence of Magners through a hugely acclaimed packaging and campaign re-launch, as well as developing specialist cider brands like Addlestones and Chaplin & Cork’s Cider.

Jamie Hirst joins from DHL, where he occupied the role of National operations manager

and brings to Purity a measured, yet forward thinking approach as to how best to service an ever-growing customer base.

Purity founder Paul said: “The scale of what we have achieved over the last 10 years has been the result of a lot of hard work, dedication and most importantly, our fantastic team at the brewery.

“The journey from that first day when we walked into a disused cattle shed with Tess the dog (UBU) to where we stand now is incredible. In every conceivable manner, the Purity family is both the link to our successes in the past, as well as the bridge to our success in the future.

“With the growth that we are set to experience, the only way we will succeed is by adding strength in depth to the family. We have no doubt that Andrew and Jamie will be excellent additions.”
