Vital acquisition sees IT firm grow

Knaresborough-based Vital Technology Group has completed the acquisition of local competitor Octari Ltd.

The deal sees the company add six new members of staff to its growing team and will further enhance the company’s technical expertise and range of services.

Octari, which is based at Tower Works in Granary Wharf, Leeds, has been bought for an undisclosed sum from the firm’s founder, Marcus Robinson, who founded the company in 2004.

Lee Evans, managing director of Vital Technology Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Octari team into the Vital family.

“The acquisition of Octari is a great way to end 2016 which was already a year of positive growth for us.

“Octari has a similar ethos to Vital, working closely with its customers and earning itself a well-respected reputation.

“We both have a strong client base, our services complement each other and this reinforces our position as a one of the region’s leading IT service providers.”

Vital Technology Group was established in 2006 and includes web development business Vital Online Studio, ecommerce IT equipment provider Vital Supplies and business communications specialist Vital Telecommunications.
