Billington has completed the acquisition of property, from Sabler Enterprises Ltd located at Shafton, and equipment and other assets from Sherling Steel (UK) Ltd.
The deal sees Billington acquire a 25 acre site from Sabler containing two industrial buildings with a combined useable area of 181,000 sq ft. The site is partially occupied by several long term tenants.
As for Sherling Steel, Billington Structures has entered into a conditional agreement to acquire equipment and other related assets.
Mark Smith, chief executive officer of Billington, said: "I am pleased the acquisition of the site at Shafton along with the insitu plant and machinery has been completed successfully.
“The facility enhances Billington's capacity and capabilities and we are now able to provide wide offering of steel processing services through Shafton Steel Services.
“It is an exciting period for the company and presents significant opportunity to further develop the group."
