Yorkshire Wildlife Park continues to expand

The award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster is set to expand after a record number of visitors flocked to the park last year.

The owners of the park are set to take on an extra 100 staff as part of its expansion which will see new facilities being developed this winter.

Full time, seasonal and part time vacancies are available across departments including managerial roles, animal rangers, administrative, retail and catering.

HR manager Clare Pearson, said: “We have a variety of exciting posts available here and it is great to be able to offer employment to the local community and continue to provide investment in the economy.

“The park has gone from strength to strength since opening seven years ago and we hope that 2016 will be another year of growth.

“There are many businesses within the park and whilst our work is all about the animals, the majority of jobs are looking after our visitors.”

The park opened in 2009 and had 66,000 visitors in its first year. It broke through the landmark 500,000 annual visitors for the first time in 2014 and had over 678,000 visitors last year.

The recruitment drive has start dates ranging from the end of January to July.
