The Leeds Manufacturing Alliance will provide a range of services that will provide tangible support to manufacturers helping assist the growth ambitions of the sector.
A launch event will take place on the Wednesday 16 March at Leeds manufacturer, AGFA Graphics, from 7:30am to 10am.
The event will include a mini exhibition that will bring together relevant organisations that can provide funding, support and training for manufacturers.
Graham Cooper of AGFA Graphics, who chairs the alliance’s steering group and is also vice-chairman of West & North Yorkshire Chamber, said: “Manufacturers often miss out on the support that is available to them and don’t take advantage of opportunities that can have a real impact on their bottom line.
“This new initiative by the chamber will ensure that manufacturers of all sizes will get the support they need and deserve.”
The group has a number of events planned throughout the year including supply chain events and site visits to share best practice.
Also available will be dedicated account management via the chamber to connect business owners and managers to opportunities, both regional and international.
