Irwin Mitchell support tomorrow’s emerging entrepreneurs

Fresh off their support of the BQ Emerging Entrepreneur awards last month, law firm Irwin Mitchell are further bolstering the support available to entrepreneurs with some customised workshops.

Irwin Mitchell sees entrepreneurs as the lifeblood of the economy, and recognises the importance of ensuring that they get off to the best start with the right support.

As a firm themselves going through a period of growth, they have big ambitions for their business, sharing the drive of investors and investee companies to achieve success.

And so they have designed some half day workshops, free for entrepreneurs to attend, which highlight some of the key risks and opportunities which new and growing businesses can encounter.

Each of the following subjects will be covered at each workshop, and there will be the opportunity to share your views, ask questions and network with like-minded entrepreneurs.

Equity investment
They will guide you through the process and share their experience of working with, and for, a range of angel investors, venture capital funds and private equity providers on the one hand, and management teams and corporates on the other.

Protecting your IPbrand
All businesses have intellectual property (“IP”) and yet when you are in the early stages of developing your business, IP issues can be put on the back burner. Getting IP basics right can create value for the company and stop it losing money through piracy and infringement. They will look at identifying, owning and protecting your IP assets and looking after your brand.

Commercial contracts (including trading online)
Cash will be your lifeblood and you need to look after your business health. Complying with consumer law, getting paid and making it clear what you are selling or providing are all points you need to cover in your commercial agreements. They will equip you to look again at your contracts and decide how to manage your business relationships.

Each workshop will take place at Irwin Mitchell’s offices - click on the location you would like to attend to register your place.
