MacComms founder aims to inspire next generation

The founder of West Yorkshire- based PR and marketing firm, MacComms, is returning to the college where she gained her first marketing qualification in a bid to inspire the next generation of students.

Ellie MacDonald, who founded MacComms last year, will speak to students at Kirklees College about her eight years experience in industry, as part of National Employability Week.

Ellie, who studied at Huddersfield University before going on to pursue post graduate qualifications at the college, will offer advice and support to young people interested in a career in business.

“I wasn't a natural high-achiever at school or college but I have come a long way since then,” says Ellie.

“I therefore hope that I can inspire other students to realise that hard work and determination can get you anywhere you want."

Kirklees college are running National Employability week in a bid to guide students into employment following college.
