The evolving Leeds Dock digital community will pool together its creative forces to showcase the waterside development’s new wave of credentials for the Leeds Digital Festival.
The six-day programme of events from 25−30 April will celebrate digital culture in all its forms. The city’s emergence into an innovation hub is the subject of a film by The City Talking, ‘Digital in Leeds’, which will premiere during the festival at Leeds Dock on 25 April.
The film will pave the way for a series of events, including ‘Lunchtime Lectures’, ‘The Digital Ladder’ – an opportunity for graduates and creatives to explore career paths, and ‘The Digital Debate’ which will see Sky, Epiphany and Numiko amongst others discuss the trends and topics of the sector.
Stuart Clarke, director of Leeds Digital Festival Ltd, said: “The festival is an engaging set of events that will bring together some of the best in creative discussion, encompassing inspirational lectures and enterprise events that support the best in tech, digital and media brains in the North.
“Leeds Dock is central to the city’s transformation into a technology powerhouse and Leeds Digital Festival is about giving people the opportunity to connect.”
The Leeds Digital Festival is backed by Leeds City Council and TechNorth, the government initiative to support digital entrepreneurship.
