Cleckheaton-based Burnhills, which has been serving the Yorkshire community for over 160 years, is hoping that the overhaul of its website will bring further business, forecasted to drive at least 15% more revenue within the next quarter.
The firm’s existing website, launched four years ago, has accounted for 25% of all sales, and new convenience lead features are hoped to further increase customer use.
The site now offers a ‘click and collect’ facility, advice-led blogs about animal care, access to competitions, event listings and FAQs.
“Customer satisfaction is our number one priority,” explains director Ben Burnhill.
“So whilst the website will enable us to sell our products to people located throughout Yorkshire and further afield, we hope it will be used as an easy-access, knowledge-filled resource too for our more local clientele.”
Burnhills’, located on Middleton Business Park, also stock designer country clothing and specialist equestrian products from brands such as Hunter and Masta, alongside the animal feed and pet ranges the business reputation was built upon, helping the firm to stand out amongst its national competitors.
