Said to be the UK’s only specialist meatball restaurant, the company was founded by father and son duo David and Gareth Atkinson in Harrogate in 2014.
After two years of solid growth, the duo launched a crowdfunding campaign on 1 March with website Crowdcube with the aim of raising £100,000.
With two days remaining, the Harrogate-based company hit its target today (19 April) and is now overfunding having raised £102,010 at the time of writing.
Speaking about the campaign, co-founder David Atkinson told BQ: “We are thrilled to have reached our funding target on Crowdcube today. Reaching this goal will enable us to put in place our development plans fully.
“In reaching our pledged investment target, we have gained the support of 190 new prospective shareholders, including customers, old friends and new friends; their value to us is more than their investment - we see each as an important ambassador for our brand.
“With our pitch still open to investment for the next few days, we welcome further interest.”
