Based at Fusion Point in Garforth, GDS’ own-brand gas detection and monitoring equipment can be tailor-made for any location in any sector, including oil and gas, manufacturing, water treatment, laboratory and education.
But when GDS looked to scale the business and figured it might’ve been leaking money through expensive electricity and gas contracts of its own, it turned to business costs consultancy Great Annual Savings (GAS) for support.
GAS worked one-on-one with GDS. By forensically examining and challenging contracts on behalf of GDS, more than £2,000 has already been cut from its energy bills, and managing director Steven Utley says the company’s approach has made a huge difference.
“We can appreciate precision and GAS certainly showed that when they were looking at our costs and showing how we could improve our bottom line.
“I would advise any busy firm to at least speak to them. It was a simple and illuminating process and has so far saved us £2,123.10.
“It has also showed us many ways we can keep on top of our bills and how to look for more ways we can save money to pass on to our clients.”
Utley added: “We aim to compile a complete deal for our clients. That includes an in-house development capability, bespoke manufactured solutions and custom-made units.
“We can fully design and plan any gas detection projects and will offer product training, full service facilities both back to base and site and ASAP dispatching.
“We are hugely experienced in the technical side of our client’s needs, with instrumentation designed and manufactured at our Leeds site under the highest quality standards ensuring a reputation for reliability and after sales service.
“But we also have other inbuilt advantages over our competitors, with our facilities ideally positioned for ease of distribution in both local and worldwide markets – and of course our friendly staff who will make every effort to help distributors and customers!”
