More power behind MADE16

MADE 16, the event for entrepreneurship, will arrive back in Sheffield in just a few weeks and with the added power of Atom Bank, is offering even more to early stage entrepreneurs and established business owners.

The event will take place at the Crucible Theatre, bringing with it a wealth of opportunities for networking and meeting other entrepreneurs.

Alongside the already announced speakers and the chance to scoop £100,000 from angel investors, MADE 16 will also feature Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation; Josh Littlejohn, founder of social enterprise Social Bite and Stuart Miller, co-founder and CEO of Bybox, a Silicon Valley start-up which now turns over $120m.

Local champion Hannah 'Hurricane' Cockroft, 5-time Paralympic champion, 7-time world champion & T34 world record holder, will be on hand to talk about managing the need to self-source funds and secure commercial sponsors to support her drive for success.

Atom Bank’s CEO Mark Mullen will be speaking about Atom’s disruptive approach to the industry, as they open their digital doors to the SME marketplace.

Founded by entrepreneurs, Atom is a new model in an established market, bringing faster, more transparent and lower cost lending to SME businesses.

Lisa Wood, chief marketing officer at Atom Bank, said: "We are delighted to partner with MADE, the UK’s largest and most inspiring celebration of entrepreneurship. We know what it takes to build, grow and run a small business and this is part of our commitment to support the UK’s SMEs that are fuelling growth and increasing employment in our communities.

There’s a fantastic line-up for the festival and we’re very much looking forward to being part of it."

MADE16 is focussing on finance, technology, disruptive thinking, leadership and market development.
