Andrew will look at how we perceive and interact with the ever-changing physical and digital world, focusing on digital and intuitive technology, augmented reality and detailing the innovations we need to look out for.
Andrew Revel, from Retail Institutes, part of Enterprise Services at Leeds Beckett University, said: "Whatever industry we operate in, we all recognise the importance of understanding our customers, because in knowing what makes them tick we can interpret what they expect from us? Interestingly, when we take the time to dig deeper and understand this it’s not always what we think!
"At first Friday I’ll be providing unique insights that aren’t readily available to help Wakefield based businesses to be prepared for their future consumer."
Tim Howe, of Wakefield Bondholders, said: "Andrew is witty, energetic and passionate. A leader in his field and with such a wealth of experience from a diverse range of sectors, Andrew will deliver an exciting and engaging look into the future – but be warned it may not be what you expect!"
The Retail Institute combines academic research and commercial knowledge to provide unique insights not readily available for businesses. Andrew has worked within the industry and has experience within the retail, travel, media and fashion industry for brands and retailers including Billabong, Panasonic, Nestle, STA Travel, Asprey and Tesco.
Chaired by Adrian Spawforth, Wakefield Bondholders Chair, the event will also feature networking opportunities alongside a breakfast of hot sandwiches, pastries and fruit. Bondholder first Friday’s continue to be a must attend event for local businesses with ambition and a passion for Wakefield. Book your place now
Wakefield first Friday will take place on Friday November 4 from 8:45am to 11:00am at Hatfield Hall, Aberford Road, Stanley, Wakefield.
