The conflict resolution and personal safety firm has been awarded £2,000 for growing his business on the Entrepreneurial Spark powered by NatWest programme.
The #GoDoAcceler8 award was awarded at an evening awards ceremony in the Leeds Entrepreneurial Spark office space on Wednesday 9 November 2016.
Darren also picked up the Entrepreneurial Development Manager’s choice award for being a supportive entrepreneur in the Leeds base.
The #GoDoAcceler8 award seeks out entrepreneurs who have gone the extra mine to ensure the continued growth and success of their business and were announced in front of more than 60 business owners on the programme, mentors and representatives from partner firms with simultaneous events happening in all 12 hatcheries across the UK.
Darren said: “It is an amazing achievement to be awarded the Acceler8 award.
“The company has grown exponentially since we joined the Entrepreneurial Spark programme and so it is fitting to have been recognised for the hard work and business progression made over the past three months.”
Lucy-Rose Walker, co-founder and chief entrepreneuring officer (CEO) at Entrepreneurial Spark Powered by NatWest said: “The #GoDoAcceler8 awards mark the halfway point for Chiclets on the Entrepreneurial Spark programme, and it’s always incredible to see the progress each of them has made. Our Leeds Hatchery houses an outstanding calibre of businesses, and GoodSense is a prime example of this.
“Since joining the programme Darren has fully embraced the mindset and behaviours of an Entrepreneurial Leader, and has shown his dedication and enthusiasm to make GoodSense Training a success. Congratulations to Darren and the rest of our winners, as well as all of the Chiclets in our Leeds Hatchery and across the UK, for their determination and commitment to the entrepreneurial mindset. Now, let’s #GoDo!”
