Sally will bring to the role key areas of expertise in customer relationship management, loyalty marketing and insights from one of the country’s most successful rail operators, Virgin Trains.
Prior to this Sally worked for Best Western Hotels for nine years, managing direct mail, partnerships and loyalty strategy.
This pivotal role within York’s tourism sector, helps to drive forward York’s tourism strategy and ensure the city is successfully marketed to millions of potential visitors both in the UK and overseas.
Sally said, “Tourism is one of York’s great success stories and I’m delighted to be joining Make It York and the Visit York brand to ensure this legacy goes from strength to strength. I have a brilliant platform to build upon and I look forward to meeting and getting to know Visit York members during my first few months in the role.”
Sally continued, “My priorities for 2017 will be to enhance York’s superb reputation, refresh all of our digital marketing platforms, invest time in meeting Visit York members, build on existing partnerships and explore new opportunities through high profile brands.”
