Property consultancy Commercial Property Partners LLP (CPP) represented Oxenwood Real Estate in the deal, which saw the 134,400 sq ft unit acquired from a private company for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition was made off market and will be the eighth asset acquired within the Oxenwood Catalina joint venture.
The newly constructed building is located 3 miles to the east of Sheffield city centre, close to J34 of the M1 and near to Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
The site area of 15.5 acres provides a low site density of approximately 22%, providing excellent yard provision for Amazon’s operation.
Amazon will be using the unit to service the surrounding Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire regions.
