Investors in People's top award for 'extremely proud' staff
York Science Park has joined the top organisations in the UK by achieving the Investors in People Gold Award, and has turned its sign gold to mark the occasion.
Achieving a higher than average scoring for its sector, York Science Park has been praised by Investors in People assessors for investing in the local community, for its cohesive working practices, and for demonstrating high standards of people management and development.
Sarah Savage, Operations Manager, says, “The sophistication of York Science Park’s people practices reflects the seriousness of our intent to deliver on our vision and mission and the passion and personal drive of those leading the company in their endeavour. The company’s commitment to continuous improvement is genuine, as leaders we give employees a clear sense of direction, motivating them to perform strongly and, through this behaviour, earn people’s trust.”
Employing a team of 16 people, York Science Park provides fully serviced office and laboratory space with facilities and business support for over 100 resident companies. So pleased were they with the result, the team invited resident and temporary paint inventor, Renu TPS, to update its sign to reflect the gold standard.

The Gold accreditation has been awarded to the Science Park until 2020, which will mark the 15th year that YSPL has achieved Investors in People award
