York City Knights player, Ben Cockayne, tackles new role as club growth manager
Former Super League Player Ben Cockayne, 35, who currently plays at York City Knights in the Championship has taken on another key position within the club, as their new Club Growth Manager.
With 346 pro games under his belt and 129 tries, he is starting the transition from playing life to commercial life. Whilst not quite ready to tackle full retirement, the new position is a firm nod to his future with the York City Knights and cements his dedication to remaining with the club long term.
PM Legal Services boosts team with young talent
Residential leasehold expert PM Legal Services has reinforced its commitment to developing tomorrow’s talent with a new appointment and a promotion.
The award-winning firm has taken on Chloe Quinn, a student from Doncaster charity YMCA Training which supports young people to learn the skills they need to achieve their aspirations.
Expanding the team by over 300% since its launch in February 2017, PM Legal Services has also promoted Kirsten Etheridge; another YMCA training student who has clinched the charity’s Learning Awards for two consecutive years.
New solicitor for Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth’s Leeds team
A new solicitor has joined the quickly growing tax, trusts and estates team at leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth’s office in Leeds.
Sarah Wintle joins the Leeds tax, trusts and estates team from Ward Hadaway, having qualified as a solicitor this year. Her experience includes a wide range of issues with tax and trusts including estate and trust administration, handling probate matters and drafting complex wills.
Harper James Solicitors announces trio of appointments
National law firm Harper James Solicitors has announced a trio of new appointments strengthening the firm’s national offer to clients.
Ashley Mott, dispute resolution partner, Jackie Howard, finance manager, and William Parsonage, business development executive, have all been appointed to work from the firm’s Sheffield headquarters, Velocity Tower.
New recruit for C&W’s Leeds valuation team
Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its Valuation team in Leeds with the appointment of surveyor, Aimee Howard. In addition, Matt Turner within the team has been promoted to Associate.
Aimee joins Cushman & Wakefield from Harrogate based property development company Moda Living which specialises in the residential build to rent sector. She was responsible for advising on acquisition and development opportunities.
Law firm continues building its property division
A Yorkshire legal firm has expanded its property team with three new appointments as a direct result of increased business throughout the division.
Licensed conveyancer Cathryn Ford, solicitor Jamie Humpheson and paralegal Lauren Ives join LCF Law’s specialist commercial property division, which operates across offices in Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate and Ilkley.
Former Boundary Mill head of HR joins family-run employment law specialist
The former head of HR at Boundary Mill has joined a family-run SME firm specialising in supporting start-up and small businesses with HR and employment law advice.
Cath Crane has joined the Cleckheaton-based firm from clothing and homeware retailer, where she led HR with responsibility for over 1,000 employees. Ms Crane also has experience working with a number of national and international brands including Wm Morrisons, Unilever and Northern Rail.
